Macallan Folio 6 was the sixth release of the planned 24-part Archival Series (currently on its eighth instalment), created to celebrate The Macallan’s advertising campaigns from the 1970s to the 1990s. The series is much sought-after by collectors.

Folio 6 celebrates a witty ad featuring then-Chairman of The Macallan (and very successful screenwriter) Allan Shiach dancing a highland fling over the advertising team’s symbols of pen and brush – a wry tribute to their working relationship.

From a limited edition of 3000 bottles initially released in late 2020 via an online ballot, then in 2021 through selected travel retail boutiques and very briefly from the distillery itself. Bottled at 43% abv and elegantly presented in a book-shaped tin box also containing a commemorative illustrated booklet.
