The Shizuoka Pot Still K 100% Japanese Barley is a single malt whisky produced by the Shizuoka Distillery, known for its innovative distillation techniques and unique pot stills.
Made using the distillery’s “K” pot still, which was previously used at the iconic, but now defunct, Karuizawa Distillery.
Aged in a combination of bourbon barrels and wine casks for 3 to 5 years. This whisky is un-peated, focusing on the pure malt character of the Japanese barley.
Tasting Note
Nose
Bright and inviting with typical Japanese herbal notes, grainy sweetness, hay, vanilla, and a hint of popcorn. There are also light varnished notes, mint, aniseed, and a subtle mineral quality with white flowery notes.
Palate
Botanical notes reminiscent of gin, with juniper berries, lemon peels, and hints of mint. It becomes maltier and sweeter with honey and melons.
Finish
Not too long, malty with a lemony freshness.

Changing Delivery Address
